A Home That’s “Listing” Ready

I recently had the pleasure of listing and selling a home that had been really well maintained. The sellers had owned the home for decades and it was obvious that they had kept up with exterior maintenance like painting, roof and gutter cleaning, and yard care. This home hadn’t been updated with new bathrooms or a new kitchen, but the interior was also clean and well-cared for.

Relative to other similar homes in the area, this home generated a lot of interest, received multiple offers, and sold for over asking price.

The lesson here is that maintaining your home doesn’t only benefit you while you live in it. Your care and effort will also pay dividends when you are ready to sell.
