Book Promotion!

A few years ago, I stumbled across Mercury Stardust aka “Trans Handy Ma’am” who provides house maintenance and repair tips on social media platforms. Her videos are fun and engaging as well as informational. I love how she says “you’re worth the time it takes to learn a new skill”.

What makes her extra special is that she is a transwoman who has raised over $5M for trans health care since 2022. She and her fellow TikTok creator, Jory, host “TikTok-a-Thon” fundraisers on Trans Day of Visibility (this year on March 31st). They live-stream for 24 to 30 hours! The money they raise goes to the organization Point of Pride whose mission is “to help trans youth and adults access necessary, life-saving health and wellness services”.

In 2023 she published a book called “Safe and Sound: A Renter-Friendly Guide to Home Repair“. She provides guides and tips for most things that come up while living in an apartment or home – clogged drains, drywall patches, installing a new light fixture, etc.
