ChatGPT and Zillow Integration

A new AI tool was just launched to help real estate consumers search for properties in a more dynamic way – a ChatGPT and Zillow integration.

From ChatGPT (the plus version), once you connect the Zillow app, you can search for homes just like you can within all the other real estate search apps like Redfin, Realtor.com, etc. What makes this different is that ChatGPT can bring in ‘life-style’ data to find properties that are close to good restaurants, bike trails, schools, the airport, etc. It can also be used to search for specific features like a ‘mother-in-law’ or ‘covered patio’. Of course the data is only as good as what’s entered into the MLS by the real estate agent so you’ll start to see enhanced listing descriptions and photo captions in an attempt to ensure properties pop-up in these new searches.

This new tool can help home buyers speed up their search in the early phase and provide a more nuanced look at a neighborhood, but it shouldn’t be used as a decision tool. And be leery of ‘advice’ the tool provides especially about property evaluation, offer creation, and financing.
