Homeowners, how many calls do you get to sell your house these days?

If you’re like us, I bet you’ve been getting more calls and pieces of mail offering to buy your home. One reason we’re seeing an increase in the volume of these unsolicited calls is AI. Real estate investors, the legit ones and the shady ones, are using AI to analyze more data and trends to quickly identify opportunities.

So, who are these companies? Typically, these companies are either wholesalers or investors.

The name of the game for wholesalers is to get you to sign a contract to buy your home and then turn around and try to sell that contract to another investor which they may or may not be able to do.

For an investor, they are looking to flip homes and/or redevelop a lot to add more housing units to the lot. I think the changes to Seattle’s neighborhood zoning will also contribute to more and more of these unsolicited calls.

Keep in mind, these investors are not looking to make you the most money for your property. If you’re curious about these offers and want to better understand if they would be a good idea for you, give me a call.
